the weekend has come and went ..

The weekend has come and went so very fast.  Monday is now here and wow a new week will begin.  I can say the Bucko household it has been a very quite weekend.  Kimmy  was pretty much busy this entire weekend., Dana at school texted to say hello.  Randall was around but but he was busy also.  Then my life wow I had a very good weekend.  went from no plans to an amazing weekend.  I  hung out with friends on Saturday and then Sunday I went bowling had not played in two years and it was the best time.  I laughed more at myself because if gutter balls were strikes I would have won the game. I did strike twice that was great out four games. Glad to say that the place also clapped for me making the strikes.  Someone mentioned bowling was a great way to see how people are when playing the game .  I can say how I bowl  guess I'm the same way.  I'm very easy going and  I find a positive something in everything.  Phil was great actually got the devise they have for the younger children to bowl in the middle and get a strike.  I only got 4 pins down, it was funny because the people clapped for that also.  He always kept saying you can do it and then he would say think strike.  The only two times I made the strike I almost fell both times. That these young boys around 7 tried to give me pointers to showing me the dots on the floor to the arrows.  They finally said let us bowl and we can win for you..  Phil said you guys cheer her on so she can bowl a strike. The boy said man thats what we have been doing but she is funny .  It may take her an entire year to bowl game with more then two strikes. we laughed.  But I do agree with there opinion .  So if you have not bowled in a while go and try it out its a great way to laugh and enjoy your time..

to text or not to text thats the question at hand

lets go back ten years ago when there was no texting all we could do is call someone up, email or actualy write a letter and mail it wow the life we lived back then.  Now there is texting, emailing, phone calls and mail a letter not sure how many of us still do that.  But as a mom with older kids I know that I text them more now then calling them on there cell  phones.  Tonight my youngest is at a church camp and i spoke with her this morning and then this after noon we have text pretty much through the entire day.  My other two i text and say good morning have a great day and then send one later saying i hope there day is great .  Do we say its how the world is now that texting has become a part of our life.  That now having a phone plan as a family unlimited texts is a must.  I am putting my 40 something age out there.  When I was a teen I just had to make sure I had quarters so I could call home if I was going to be late and if I did not, I would be getting grounded for not calling. Now if my kids don't call they pretty much say mom my phone needed to be charged it died thats why I did not call .  I took the battery out to see if that would help. hmmm I know my three would never survive my life in the 80's.  But get this now when I go out on date or with friends my kids call me to see how my night is.  They say i never answer the phone.  My youngest pretty much has said mom when i call its because I'm making sure  things are OK so please answer the call not three hours later.  Then my oldest always ask mom what time will you be in on voice mail then will text and say mom Its Friday will  you be in before midnight right so i don't worry . Then when I'm home before Ten both my kids will say good job but you still have two hours.  they will say go somewhere walmart we will text you when its midnight.

But  no matter where we are at in the same house or in the car together we will still text each other something.  The only place I say we do not text at is church but everywhere else we do daily.  10 years from now besides being much older how will we communicate .  FYI it did take me a while to learn the skill of texting on a touch phone and understanding that the letter R is for the word are, OMG means oh my gosh, TY means thank you,WC means welcome,the letter U means the word you. LOL means laugh out loud.  But it was not to long ago that when i saw these words I would be hmmm why don't they just call me .. Because to me texting was a challenge I can say that  many friends and family would agree.  Plus there happy knowing that my spelling has improved some all because of texting. lol

Whats for dinner?

It never fails that I can cook a meal thats takes hours to prepare and the only reaction I still get from my kids is the same as when they were young. Mom whats wrong are you upset?  Where did you get that recipe and are you sure got the correct items? Mom why not just pizza?  Then I can prepare a meal that can take 30 mins and then my three are saying wow mom this taste great why don't you cook like this all the time.  The nice thing I here is mom thank you dinner was amazing.  Then its got to go now I'll be home later and mom do you have a few bucks.  The weekend is now upon us now my youngest is asking mom what plans do you have for the weekend I need to use the car.  Not funny but lets see today I went to the grocery store , paid some bills, chatted with some friends, parents came over for dinner, my oldest daughter had a crises I was the shoulder that she needed. My other two shared there day .  All this happened today and completed at or day over at 10:30 pm. Then its Margi time with a nice glass of wine to just relaxes.  The funny thing is I never got to share my day or let them know that for three days I have had lunch for free.  Go figure but what to cook again thats only 30 min to prepare who knows but last night was waffle night and my waffles were bad very bad.
